Nice looking Mex Strat. Lotta people will tell you those're inferior. Not so. Had one a few yrs ago; electronics were nothing to brag about but the construction was every bit as good as American made counterpart.

Lotta people don't. Among the best looking Strats I've seen are black body on 3 ply black pickguard, maple neck, chrome hardware. Black knobs, etc.
Personal preference.

That said, am ordering a white body from Warmoth after having found flaws in this one's finish. Yes, the Jeff Beck "Wired" look.

3 ply black on black with maple neck is good looking. The vintage Clapton look is fine, but I've never liked it personally.
For what it's worth, am ordering a white body (hard ash, chambered for resonance and weight considerations) from Warmoth after having found flaws in the finish on this one.
I say "white"; they have 3 options, being alpine, which is pure white, olympic, which is sort of a mild cream color, and vintage. Which looks like a kitchen wall that hasn't been cleaned in 15 yrs.
But yes, the white body and plasticware on maple, or rosewood for that matter, is a classic look.

inspired from EVH's Frankenstrat, although i prefer to call mine the Spiderwebb (as my amp is a SpiderIII)
